On August 5th, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the IOM representative office in China, the China World Peace Foundation, the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly held an international cooperation symposium at the Peace Garden Museum in Beijing. The chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and the president of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, Dr. Li Ruohong, the deputy director-general for Management and Reform of the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM), H.E.Ms. SungAh LEE, and the Chief of Mission of IOM in China,H.E. Ms. Li Wen, along with representatives from the China Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the ICBC, the Kingsoft Office Group, the MEBO Group, ZTE Corporation, the Hithium Energy Storage Group, People AI, and the XTEP Group, participated in the event. They engaged in in-depth and practical discussions on core topics such as international cultural exchanges, multilateral public welfare cooperation, cross-border economic and trade empowerment, collaboration in talent mobility, and the joint construction of sustainable development projects.

At the meeting, Chairman Li Ruohong warmly welcomed the visit of the IOM delegation and systematically introduced the long-term achievements of the Foundations in the fields of civil diplomacy, cultural mutual learning, international public welfare, and exchanges between Chinese and foreign enterprises. He also highlighted the cooperation between the Foundations and UNESCO in five projects: the Peace Garden Peace Festival , the Cultural Interaction Atlas of the Silk Road Initiative, the Global Youth Photo Contest, the Global Youth Short Video Competition, and the International Network City Dialogue Places. He stated that in the context of globalization, friendly exchanges among the people and international enterprises' overseas expansion complement each other. The Foundations will continue to build high-level communication platforms for the tripartite connection of the government, international organizations, and leading enterprises, and help implement and take root in practical cooperation projects between China and foreign countries that have international consensus, government support, enterprise sponsorship, and media attention.

H.E.MS. SungAh LEE, the Deputy Director-General for Management and Reform Affairs of IOM, highly praised the positive role of the Peace Garden platform in promoting the mutual understanding between people from China and other countries and in serving global governance. She also provided a detailed introduction to IOM's work layout in areas such as global migration governance, international talent mobility, cross-border cooperation, and sustainable development assistance.

The representatives of the participating entrepreneurs made speeches one after another, sharing the development achievements and cooperation visions of their enterprises in areas such as international layout, green energy, intelligent manufacturing, livelihood industries, and brand overseas expansion, based on their own industrial advantages. All parties agreed that this discussion meeting has built an efficient multilateral connection bridge, which will effectively promote the deep integration of international organization resources, foreign affairs platform resources, and enterprise industrial resources, and inject new momentum into the deepening of China-foreign economic, trade and cultural cooperation.
