On April 29th, a special exchange event for foreign-invested enterprises in Beijing was held. Li Ruohong, the executive vice president of the Beijing Foreign Investors Association, Global Partnership, and Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation, along with over a hundred presidents, vice presidents, and representatives of foreign investors from the association, held in-depth discussions and exchanges with Beijing's Vice Mayor Tang Wenhong, the Director of the Investment Promotion Center, and the Deputy District Governor of Chaoyang District during the conference on topics such as optimizing the foreign-invested business environment in the Capital, deepening international economic and trade cooperation, and assisting foreign enterprises in achieving high-quality development.

Mayor Tang Wenhong, Director Yang Beibei, and Deputy District Governor Chen Dai of Chaoyang District introduced Beijing's foreign investment layout, using experience and data to explain the supportive policies and measures for optimizing the business environment amid complex circumstances. By integrating practices in people-to-people diplomacy and cross-border cooperation, they offered suggestions for the capital's high-level opening-up. They stated that they would leverage their own international resource advantages, play the role of an association as a bridge between the government and enterprises, establish a regular communication platform, reflect the demands of foreign-funded enterprises, and help them deeply participate in the construction of fields such as science and technology innovation, green and low-carbon development, and cultural tourism integration, thereby stabilizing the investment confidence in Beijing.

During the event, Li Ruohong, along with the association's leaders and representatives from both new and old associations, received the 2026 Beijing Foreign-Invested Enterprises Association Contribution Award. This recognition honors their outstanding contributions over the years to promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries, international interactions, and facilitating the opening-up of the capital region. Both sides stated that they will deepen the collaboration between the government and enterprises, improve the foreign investment service mechanism, gather global resources, and help the capital's foreign investment cause to improve quality and efficiency, and continue to write a new chapter of opening-up.
