

On April 18th , to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan and to deepen the cultural exchanges and friendly relations between the two countries, the "Shadows of Belonging" China-Pakistan Photographic Art Exhibition, jointly organized by the China World Peace Foundation, the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and the Pakistani Embassy in China,was officially lunched at the Peace Garden Museum in Beijing. This exhibition, using light and shadow as a bond, has built a bridge for dialogue between Chinese and Pakistani civilizations, and uses artistic language to continue writing a new chapter of the enduring "Iron Brother friendship" between the two countries.



This exhibition showcases nearly 50 outstanding photographic works by Pakistani visual artist Ms. Nazia and Chinese photography artist Mr. Zhao Jiaqi. It creates an artistic journey along the China-Pakistan cultural corridor. The works transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, explore the profound connotations of the shared memories of the two countries, and present the cultural and spiritual cores of China and Pakistan from a unique artistic perspective, awakening the blank spaces in the shared memories of both sides and praising the profound friendship between China and Pakistan that has endured for a long time.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Li Ruohong and the Pakistani Ambassador to China,H.E.Mr. Hashmi, delivered speeches and then visited the exhibition and the Peace Garden Museum exhibits together with Bahama Ambassador to China, H.E. Ms. BETHEL, Jamaican Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Arthur Williams, Minister Counselor of the Pakistani Embassy, Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation Directors and 100 guests from all walks of life. They also enjoyed folk songs and piano performances from the China Conservatory of Music. They discussed the vision for the friendly development of the two countries. During the special period when Pakistan is coordinating peace dialogues among the warring countries, it was of special significance.
