On April 14^th , the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in China held an event to commemorate the 114^th  anniversary of the birth of Chairman Kim Il Sung at the Peace Garden Museum. Li Ruohong, the chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and the president of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Counsellor Jong Yong Sam of the DPRK Embassy in China, Ms. Zhang Yunhong, the deputy director of the IFRC East Asia Regional Office, and the director of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation as well as representatives from all walks of life jointly participated in this commemoration event and watched the related documentary.

The official website of the China World Peace Foundation also had a special edition of the E-books "Echoes of the Korean Century" and "Great Life Music" on that day, to commemorate Chairman Kim Il Sung's great achievements in leading the country's construction and his foreign affairs work, as well as his love for music.

The atmosphere at the event was solemn and friendly. All parties recalled history and looked forward to the future, continuously promoting the development of traditional friendship and people-to-people exchanges between China and DPRK.
