On the afternoon of April 1^st , 2026, Chairman Li Ruohong held a friendly meeting with Director Olga of IFRC. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on public welfare, humanitarian causes and international cooperation, and reached several agreements of practical cooperation .

At the beginning of the meeting, Director Olga sincerely thanked Chairman Li Ruohong for his generous support and assistance which provided crucial assistance for grassroots humanitarian rescue and medical prevention and control work. Chairman Li Ruohong stated that he would continue to deepen humanitarian cooperation and ensure that care reaches more people.

Both sides have reached clear intentions regarding multi-field cooperation. They will jointly work with the foundation to carry out community public welfare services, create records of global youth photography and micro-film creation activities to showcase the humanitarian spirit of the Red Cross, and convey warmth through art. They will also promote the "Music in Hospitals" project, deepen humanitarian care, and conduct education on the Red Cross spirit and public welfare charity. Additionally, both sides will explore cooperation in elderly care, organize sports public welfare activities, and plan to invite staff from the IFRC to China for a two-week training on excellent anti-malaria experience, to assist in global malaria prevention and control efforts.
