On January 13th , 2026, relevant leaders of the Beijing Law Society held a discussion with representatives of the China World Peace Foundation at the Peace Garden Museum in Beijing, focusing on the deepening cooperation in the legal construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)" and legal support for public welfare projects. Former Secretary of the Beijing Political and Legal Affairs Commission Xiao Youmao, vice president of the Beijing Law Society, and other comrades, along with the chairman of the China World Peace Foundation, Li Ruohong, the secretary-general Wang Hongzuan, and others, gathered together to jointly discuss practical approaches.
The discussion focused on cross-border exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, and legal demands faced by enterprises in the "Belt and Road" initiative. It emphasized that legal interoperability and mutual recognition of rules are the key supports for ensuring the steady and long-term progress of the initiative. Both sides agreed that this cross-border exchange is not only a concrete action to implement the legal guarantee requirements for high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", but also an important platform for integrating public legal services resources and preventing cross-border legal risks. It has significant practical significance for improving the internationalized and legalized business environment.
