Li Ruohong made a keynote speech at 2025 Beijing NGO Dialogue on International Exchanges

On November 26th , Ms.Xu Luping, vice president of the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and former vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, Cui Shuqiang, vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice president of the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and president of the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges, and Li Ruohong, chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and president of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and vice president of the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges, jointly attended the opening ceremony of the "2025 Beijing NGO Dialogue on International Exchanges" hosted by the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges and delivered a speech. This dialogue meeting, themed "Pooling Wisdom for Collaborative Open Development", attracted over 150 representatives from more than 20 countries around the world to discuss new paths for people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.
Chairman Li Ruohong, in his keynote speech, shared the foundation's 12 years history of providing global public goods for Beijing and the country, under the theme of "Demonstrating the Advantages of Capital's People-To-People Diplomacy to Empower Peace and Public Welfare along the Belt and Road Initiative", influencing influential people with the ideological power, credibility and execution ability of peace and public welfare, turning beneficial things into interesting ones, and emphasized in his speech that: At present, many countries and multilateralism have integrated economy, science and technology, culture, human rights and diplomacy. The taking sides and exchanging interests in the diplomacy of some governments have exacerbated the problem of regional imbalance. The peaceful public welfare of people-to-people diplomacy will alleviate conflicts and empower humanistic values. It also serves as a bond of friendship and lubricant for the sustainable development of the economy and society, and is the expectation of governments of all countries and sister cities... Let us join hands to tell different stories of China's same ideal. In the community with a shared future along the Green Silk Road, let us fulfill our social responsibilities and missions, and deliver a first-class answer that is principled, warm and sustainable. The representatives attending the meeting gave warm applause after listening to the speeches
In his speech, H.E.Mr. Shahbaz Khan, Director of the UNESCO East Asia Multisectoral Regional Office, said that civil society is an indispensable part of the multilateral system, and international exchanges are not only a diplomatic activity but also the cornerstone of peace and shared resilience. He commended the vitality and creativity demonstrated by Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges in promoting sustainable development and cross-cultural understanding.
During the conference, the "Beijing World Heritage International Exchange" project was released. The representatives attending the conference signed the cooperation agreement of the "Youth Partner International Exchange Program", jointly issued the initiative of "Non-governmental Organizations Serving Open Development", and visited the photo exhibition of the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges .
