Mali Sports Minister and diplomats from Chinese Embassy in Mali greeting Shaolin Peace Culture Delegation

The Shaolin Peace Culture Delegation organized by ChinaWorld Peace Foundation (CWPF) and Beijing International Peace CultureFoundation (BIPCF) ended its 10-day peace and culture trip to Cote d'ivoire andflew to Bamako, the capital of Mali on October 25,2014. It was warmly welcomedby Representative of UNESCO in Mali, Minister Representative of Youth Ministryof Mali, Counselor of Chinese Embassy to Mali, Chairman of Kungfu and Wushuassociation of Mali and many local Wushu lovers.The Minister ofYouth Ministry met the members of the delegation in his office afterwards. TheRepresentative of UNESCO and the Youth Minister jointly held a grand welcomedinner for the delegation in a best Chineserestaurant.

On the afternoon of October 26, a gathering to welcomeChina Shaolin Peace Culture Delegation was held in the newly build gymnasium byChinese construction company. Around 3000 people attended the gathering,including a large number of Malian Wushu lovers, quite a number of stafffrom Chinese funded enterprises and some representatives of the local Chineseand overseas Chinese.

Malian Sports Minister, Representative of UNESCO in Mali,charge affaires of Chinese Embassy to Maliand the Head of China Shaolin Peace and Culture Delegation made speeches respectively.They all believed that the idea of spreading peace in the world was very good. Theywere also grateful to UNESCO and CWPF for paying attention to “The Road for theSlaves” and anti-violence. Malian Sports Minister said that the various sectsof Kungfuassociations in Mali did not have such gathering for a long time. It was thecoming of China Shaolin Peace and Culture Delegation that brought all the associationstogether again. This was a gathering of peace, exchange, unity and progress.

After the speeches, representatives from Malian BoxingAssociation, JiuJitsu Association, Karate Association, TaekwondoAssociation, Wrestling Association, Vovinam Association, Yoseikan BudoAssociation, Self Defense Association and Kungfu & Wushu Association displayedtheir unique skills.
