On March 20th , Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, attended Pakistan's 85th National Day event held at the Kempinski Hotel.

At the event, Chairman Li had a cordial conversation with a group of old friends of the Ambassador to China, and their friendship was strengthened through the exchanges. In the meeting with H.E.Mr. Riecken, the Austrian Ambassador to China, both sides focused on international volunteer team cooperation, exchanged in-depth views on how to work together to inject new impetus into global public welfare undertakings, and jointly drew up a blueprint for cross-border volunteer cooperation; Meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, H.E. Mr. Parakhat Durdyev, the cooperation of the clothing and chemical industries has become a hot topic of discussion, exploring how to tap into the complementary advantages of the two countries' industries, open up trade channels, and promote new heights of economic and trade exchanges between China and Turkmenistan; Discussing the protection and inheritance of Dunhuang traditional culture with H.E. Mr. Shahbaz Khan, the representative of UNESCO in China; Exchanging cultural and educational cooperation with H.E. Mr. Jürg Burri, Swiss Ambassador to China.

What’s more, Chairman Li also warmly invited ambassadors from Austria, Turkmenistan, Switzerland and other countries, as well as the ambassadors of Barbados and Algeria to China, to participate in a cultural feast that will kick off at the end of April - the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Cuisine Event jointly organized by the China Cuisine Association and the Foundation. This event will use food as a link, allowing friends from all over the world to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture, tasting the profound heritage behind intangible cultural heritage skills, and building a new platform for people to people exchanges and mutual understanding.

t is worth mentioning that before the event ,a warm scene quietly unfolded. Children from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing, dressed in colorful ethnic costumes and with pure smiles on their faces, gathered around Chairman Li Ruohong like cheerful birds. The camera froze and captured this joyful moment, adding a warm and brxight touch to the friendly relationship between China and Pakistan, and also playing a touching prelude to the celebration on that day
