On December 4th , 2024, Zheng Yu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture（BUCEA）, led Ding Shuai, Director of the External Exchange and Cooperation Department, and Qi Yong, Director of the School Office, to visit the Peace Garden Museum and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. Li Ruohong, President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, Wang Hongzhuan, Secretary General, and Wu Peihe, Deputy Secretary General, warmly welcomed Zheng Yu and his delegation. Both sides actively responded to the Chairman Xi Jinping's call for high-quality joint construction of the "Belt&Road" and promoting global common development, and explored the possibility of cooperation in various fields such as international architectural culture exchange, architectural heritage protection, talent cultivation for traditional architectural skills inheritance, promotion of Chinese architectural culture, and UNESCO supported projects in countries and regions along the "Belt&Road" to fulfill national missions.

This meeting has laid a solid foundation for the continued cooperation between BUCEA and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. Secretary Zheng Yu stated that BUCEA attaches great importance to its cooperation with the Peace Garden Museum and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. He hopes that both sides can take this negotiation as an opportunity to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship, closely integrate academic research with social responsibility, and make new achievements in building a high-quality "Belt&Road" through cooperation with the foundation. The foundation believes that architecture is a frozen art form and an important carrier of human civilization. The cooperation between the two sides in the fields of culture and architecture will inject new vitality into the construction of the "Belt&Road" and the development of international peace culture.
