On November 11^th , 2024, H.E.Mr. Esteban Lazo Hernandez, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State Republic of Cuba, heading a delegation to visit Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. During the visit, the Cuban Embassy in China and the Beijing Peace Garden Museum held a grand welcoming ceremony. In order to promote China Cuba friendship and further develop the "Silk Road" folk diplomacy, the Secretary General of the Foundation, on behalf of President Li Ruohong, awarded President Lazo the Medal of Peace and presented His Excellency the book "China NGO". The singers also sang the Cuban national songs at the gathering of old friends. Chairman Lazo and his delegation visited the Peace Garden community with diplomats from both countries and presented flower baskets in front of the peace landscape stone of H.E.Mr. Castro.
