On November 6th , 2023, Dr. Li Ruohong, Vice President of the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation , attended the award ceremony and opening ceremony of the Third "Colorful World" International Youth Painting Invitation Exhibition with the theme of "promoting exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and protecting the world's cultural heritage" at the China Film Museum , and presented awards to nearly 30 young foreign painters from 15 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Türkiye, Spain and Mexico.

The current "Colorful World · World Cultural Heritage" International Youth Painting Invitation Exhibition is guided by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, supported by the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. The Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, in collaboration with the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics, the Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges, the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, and the Hebei Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, have organized the event together with the Tianjin People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Since 2021, the three consecutive art exhibitions have received from over 70 countries more than 120000 youth works, attracting over 3000 domestic and foreign friendly organizations, overseas Chinese groups, schools, and art institutions to participate in the event . Over 200,000 youth and families have participated in a series of activities, and have held landing exhibitions in 10 countries such as the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia, Greece, Fiji, Mauritius, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, More than 100 domestic and foreign media outlets have released a total of over 4000 news articles, and the painting exhibition has achieved fruitful results.

In this year's painting exhibition, 48 paintings depicting the central axis of Beijing and Beijing culture were included in the "I Love Beijing -2023 Global Youth Essay Excellent Works Collection" published by Beijing Publishing Group, and presented as gifts to guests attending the 2023 Beijing Culture Forum. 20 paintings depicting world cultural heritage sites from around the world were presented at the 45th World Heritage Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will be exhibited alongside the theme of "Digital Empowerment of Cultural Heritage". Youth works, public service videos, and painting scrolls will be exhibited at the "2023 China International Public Service Advertising Conference Public Service Ceremony" organized by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the Beijing Municipal Government. The Greek ambassador to China, the director of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing and the leaders of the organizers visited the exhibition after the opening ceremony. Li Ruohong, Vice President of the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said that the exhibition has special significance at the 20th anniversary of the signing of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
