In order to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Panama, strengthen friendly exchanges and promote the sustainable development of China Panama friendship, the China Panama Children's Painting Exhibition jointly organized by the Beijing Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the China World  Peace Foundation and the Panama Embassy in China was opened in the Peace Garden Museum on June 1st International Children's Day. Children's paintings from China and Panama are full of friendliness and joys. The painting content also presents a diverse range of landscapes, environments, humanities, and cultures from both countries, which is highly praised.

Wang Yanxia, Vice President of the Beijing Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said in her speech that friendly exchanges between China and Panama are increasingly improving, and children are the future and hope. This children's art exhibition between the two countries opens a new chapter in friendly exchanges between China and Panama.

Wang Hongzhuan, Secretary General of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation , on behalf of President Li Ruohong, also congratulated on the opening ceremony. He said that Panama Canal, the "World Bridge", and the Grand Canal of China are both heroic deeds of hardworking people. The Panama–Pacific International Exposition of the last century has brought Chinese Liquor to the world and brought the Chinese people closer to Panama. We sincerely wish the friendship between the two countries an everlasting success. This art exhibition is also one of the children's photography and painting projects of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. It is another international children's peaceful interaction project after the "Global Youth Photography Competition", "International Children's Peace Painting Exhibition in the Eyes of Children", and "International Children Welcoming the Olympics Painting Exhibition".

H.E.Mr. Leonardo Alfonso Kam Binns, Panama's ambassador to China, said that China and Panama have a long history of friendly exchanges. A century ago, the Chinese participated in the construction of the Panama Canal Railway and the construction of the Panama Canal. Many Chinese still stay in Panama, some become administrators of the Panama Canal today. There are many Chinese cultural monuments in Panama, and they live in harmony with the Panamanian people, And he is deeply respected by the local people for their wisdom and diligence. This children's art exhibition between the two countries showcases a new future of friendship between the people.

For this art exhibition, representatives of Panamanian experts and scholars flew from Panama to Beijing to attend the opening ceremony. The Chinese Embassy in Panama also sent a video congratulation on behalf of the embassy. The embassy diplomats of Guyana, Ecuador , as well as other foreign guests from multiple countries in China, as well as award-winning children, attended the opening ceremony of the art exhibition.
