On March 31, 2022, Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau and Beijing Museum Society held the seminar themed"Commemoration of International Museum Day▪ Museum Power " in Peace Garden Museum, discussing with more than 20 non-state-owned museums in Beijing the measures and actions to serve the construction of Beijing's "four centers" and build a museum city under the "Silk Road" initiative. Carrying forward the social role of museums, the role of international cultural exchanges and the role of youth education is an important task that the party and the state attach great importance to.

Mr.Xiang Dechun, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, pointed out that non-state-owned museums are a new force in the field of social culture and Museum, and have irreplaceable functions. They strive to resolve the objective operation problems under the epidemic situation, strengthen the cooperation of various museums, realize complementary advantages, expand the international communication work of Beijing Museums, and improve their own development and serve the society in various forms in combination with online and offline publicity and promotion.

Mr. Li Ruohong, President of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and curator of  Beijing Peace Garden Museum, first welcomed the participants on behalf of the host and said : This year marks the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention on the protection of the world cultural and natural heritage and an important time for the application for the world heritage of the central axis of Beijing. Peace Garden Museum is willing to open up and cooperate with all the major sections of the "Silk Road" Cultural Interactive Atlas project and move forward hand in hand. Mr. Li Ruohong also introduced a series of international salon projects such as music, food and painting art in operation in Peace Garden museum to the participants.

The representatives attending the meeting said that forming an alliance and developing hand in hand is a very necessary and meaningful option at present. They hope to strengthen cooperation with Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and Beijing Peace Garden Museum, making use of the international influence of Peace Garden museum to strengthen the diplomatic exchanges and cooperation of each museum.

At the meeting, Mr. Ha Jun of Beijing Museum Society listened to the activity plans of each museum on May 18 international museum day this year, and deployed the overall plan under the unified theme of "the power of the museum". Leaders of more than 20 museums, including the Ancient Pottery Museum,Guanfu Museum, China Red Sandalwood Museum and Chinese National Museum of Ethnology , said they would implement their own activity plans to cooperate with the overall plan of Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau and Beijing Museum Society to welcome the international museum day and launch wonderful and meaningful exhibitions for the society and young people.
