The Medal Tally of "I and Beijing" 2021 Foreign Friends Photo Contest was Released

On November 10, the online award ceremony of "I and Beijing" 2021 Beijing photographic cultural activities in the eyes of foreign friends was successfully held. Let's see who gets the awards.

This edition of photographic cultural activity is co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Press Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and the China World Peace Foundation, and co sponsored by the Beijing photography Advocates Association.

With the theme of "modern Beijing", the activity solicited photos of Beijing's modernization achievements from the majority of foreign friends, aiming to show the real Beijing through the lens of foreign friends and the development achievements of Beijing in implementing the strategic positioning of "four centers" and building a world-class harmonious and livable city.

The activity received nearly 1500 contributions from foreign friends of 50 countries on five continents, and 40 award-winning works were selected after professional evaluation.

Relevant leaders of the Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers at the award ceremony and praised that the active foreign friends participants of the  competition are “witnesses of the high-quality development of modern Beijing. With the language of light and shadow and superb photography skills, their works display the rapid development and changes of Beijing, a millennium old capital, and fixing the eternal moment of striving for progress in Beijing, a modern international metropolis with their wonderful lenses.”

Relevant leaders of the  Press Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, the China World Peace Foundation and the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winners. Mr.Huang Haijing, head of the panel of judges and Deputy Secretary General of Beijing Photography Advocates Association, commented on the award-winning works. More than 100 foreign contestants at home and abroad, participated in the activities online.

Mr.Dai Jianjun, a second-class inspector of Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, awarded the third prize winners

Mr.Ji Xiaozhe, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, awarded the   the Excellence Prize winners.

Mr.Huang Haijing, group leader of the selection committee and Deputy Secretary General of Beijing Photography Advocates Association, commented on the award-winning works.

Rudolph, a German overseas student, won the first prize, Igor Yegorov of Russia and Li Bai of UK won the second prizes, Achaya of Nepal, Sunshine of Bangladesh and Su Shanshu of France won the third prizes respectively.

The photographic cultural activity of "Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends" was launched in 2009. This year is the 12th edition. It is one of the brand activities of "I Beijing you and me" specially created by the Beijing Municipal Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries for foreign friends to walk into Beijing, feel Beijing and integrate into Beijing.

Over the past 12 years, the event has attracted envoys and foreign experts from nearly 80 countries, foreign employees and international students in Beijing, and received more than 30,000 participating pictures. The submitted works closely follow the pulse of the times and the key work of Beijing in various periods, and tell the development story of Beijing viewing from the unique perspective of foreign friends.
