Peace Garden Museum Promotes International Exchange of Beijing Cuisine and Catering Culture

On June 3rd , the "Beijing Consumption Season · Star Kitchen Show of China Style Food Enterprises" was launched in Beijing Peace Garden Museum , which started to promote consumption of the Beijing catering industry in June. Sponsored by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and undertaken by Beijing Culinary Association and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, the tasting and promotion event takes "peace, trust, health and communication" as the guiding ideology, through the exhibition of famous Beijing cuisine brands, promotion of famous chefs and exhibition of intangible cultural heritage of Chinese cuisine,to show the charm and connotation of Beijing cuisine to relevant Belt&Road embassies in China, which is one of the theme activities of the catering sector of "2021 Beijing consumption season". More than 80 envoys, students and people from all walks of life from more than 20 countries attended the event.




Dr.Li Ruohong, President of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and curator of Beijing Peace Garden Museum, said food has forged a world in exchanges. Peace Garden Museum is committed to establishing a window for international food culture exchange and through the combination of online and offline communication, it forms a value chain of talents, skills, equipment, products and logistics related to food culture. Through cooperation, we can achieve win-win sharing, promote the double circulation of food industry at home and abroad, promote new development of service trade in the new era, and carry out special and warm peace and public welfare actions for the benefit of the world people.

 

At the event, Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Cuisine Association, and held the unveiling ceremony of Beijing Cuisine International Catering Culture Exchange Center. The two sides will give full play to their respective resource advantages, jointly promote the spread of Chinese food culture and international food culture exchanges, and achieve the goal of resource cooperation&sharing and win-win development.


Mr. Yuncheng, President of the Beijing Cuisine Association, said that Beijing cuisine carries a long history and culture of Beijing, and has formed a kind of unique Beijing cuisine. In order to tell Chinese stories and serve “Belt&Road”initiatives, promote the construction of Beijing's "four centers" and promote international multicultural exchanges,promote international communication on Chinese food culture and charm of Beijing cuisine. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Beijing cooking association and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, together with foreign embassies and international partners, jointly established the international food and beverage cultural exchange center of Beijing cuisine in China,and will plan a series of Chinese food tasting brand activities. Beijing culture will be promoted through "Beijing Cuisine of China" and a new image of Beijing will be established, which is open, inclusive, innovative and inclusive.

 

At the event, seven major catering brands and 12 star chefs presented more than 40 special dishes of intangible cultural heritage to more than 20 envoys in China. Among them, Quanjude displayed peony roast duck, Chinese Knot with Soup and yunpian gourd duck, Steamed Dumplings made by Mr. Wu Huaxia, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, and Quick Fried Lamb

 displayed by Mr. Ma Zhihe, the culinary master of Majestic Clouds Pavilion, There are also Budda’s Warrior prawns in Royal Style Restaurant, Cabbage Heart with Chicken Puree of Snow Palace Garden Restaurant, cold dish platters in Baijia courtyard, and Fried meat slices in Ziguang garden. Beijing star chef Li Ying and the chef of the embassy jointly performed the innovative Beijing cuisine "new Gongbao mountain salmon, new Gongbao mountain freshwater salmon". In the end, Mr.Wang Guomin, a Chinese culinary master from Quanjude Group, showed the calligraphy of plate decoration, which pushed the activity to a climax.

The seven most representative catering brands in Beijing not only showed the inheritance of traditional skills of Beijing cuisine, but also highlighted the characteristics of Beijing cuisine, such as fine selection of materials, fine workmanship, fine container and fine service, which were highly praised by the guests.
