On April 18th, Activity themed "Sea Breeze" for Spouses of Ambassadors of “Belt and Road”Ambassador Village was held in the Beijing Peace Garden Museum. Spouses of 20 Ambassadors from Oman, Azerbaijani, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, Cuba, Vanuatu, Guyana, Bulgaria, Iraq, Venezuela, Palestine, Qatar, Samoa, Senegal, Turkmenistan, Serbia, Maldives and Romania attended the event.

He Qing, Director of the Beijing Peace Garden Museum, said that we all long for harmonious relations and peaceful coexistence between people and between man and nature. This "Sea Breeze" activity aimed to arouse people's awareness of marine environmental protection, so that more people can participate in marine environmental protection.

Jeehan Saleem, Spouse of Maldives's Ambassador to China, said that Maldives was one of the first South Asian countries to join the "Belt and Road"  Initiative and a country along the ancient Silk Road. She presented slides to show the impact of climate change on Maldives, so that spouses of Ambassadors of different countries can realize the importance of "marine environmental protection",so as to strengthen cultural exchanges and promote the harmonious development of the marine environment.

This event was co-organized by the Embassy of Maldives, the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and Beijing Peace Garden Museum, with the Belt.china.org.cn providing the media support.
