On April 18th, Lou Jiwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) , led a group of 17 people to Beijing to hold a symposium on promoting innovation and  foreign exchanges.The meeting was chaired by Yang Yiwen, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Political Consultative Conference. Zhao Huimin, Director of the Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, introduced the work of the Beijing Political Consultative Conference on foreign friendly exchanges. Members of the Beijing Political Consultative Conference, Consultants of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Affairs and members of the CPPCC exchanged on how to improve CPPCC’s foreign exchanges. Li Ruohong said in his speech that the CPPCC's 70-year development process not only has helped lay a broad social foundation at home, but also has reached a broad consensus and made bosom friends in the international community. It have exchanged with few countries but with broader exchange aspects. It has served as a platform for government dialogues and political party alliance and a bridge for inter-civilization cooperation, and has injected new vitality into the innovation and Entrepreneurship of overseas Chinese in the world. It should not forget its original mission in the world landscape that have never seen in a century, and explore CPPCC’s position from different perspectives and in a in-depth way. He also introduced the “ Peace Garden Declaration” and “ An Interactive Atlas of Interactions Along the Silk Roads” jointly released and promoted by the foundation and UNESCO.

President Jilin, Chairman of Beijing Political Consultative Conference, concluded that we should broaden channels of foreign exchanges, publicize and introduce the people's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) system, make suggestions on the development of international communication centers, actively explore and establish mechanisms for exchange and cooperation between local CPPCC and foreign parliaments and give full play to the role of members to tell good stories of the in the globe. Lou Jiwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC, fully gave praise to the foreign exchange work of the Beijing CPPCC, and proposed that we should cohere consensus, improve our ability and level of story-telling, follow the law of external communication to better tell the story of the new Chinese political party system and the CPPCC, so as to be a good participant, practitioner and promoter of the CPPCC system. Kong Quan, Liu Hongcai, Han Fangming and Wang Min, Vice-Chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, had exchanges with the members. The inspection team also visited the exhibition and listened to the introduction of the planning and construction of Beijing’s sub-centre.
