The 23rd March 2017, the event “Ocean Day” of Bolivia was ceremoniously held, in cooperation of China World Peace Foundation and the Embassy of Bolivia in China, in the Peace Garden community. More than 100 visitors including Diplomatic envoys of 12 countries and guests from Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Civil Affairs, International Department of China have participated in this event, with the best wishes to the friendship China-Bolivia and to the world peace. 

At the witness of diplomatic envoys and of all guests, Dr. Li Ruohong, President of China World Peace Foundation and Mr. Heriberto Quispe, Ambassador of the Embassy of Bolivia in China, planted together the “Peace Tree”, which exists as a historical witness of friendship China-Bolivia and which adds a new luster to the International Friendship Forest in the Peace Garden community. 

The ambassadors of Bolivia, Ecuador, Suriname, Cuba, Jamaica, Grenada, Columbia, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Maldives and other ambassadors have signed inscriptions in the guest-book. They have highly praised the contribution of the Foundation to the peace development and global resources integration, as well as the efforts made by Foundation to promote the world peace. 

Subsequently, the “Ocean Day” began with the national anthems of China and Bolivia. Dr. Li Ruohong extended a great respect to the people who loves peace in this world, and expressed: Bolivia is a country who favors the peace, open spirit and toleration, is an important partner of China in cooperation with South American region. Bolivia possesses abundant natural resources and a favorable investment environment, which can offer a expectable space and opportunity to the development of “The Belt and Road”. He wished, through the way of “Peace+1”, with the sustainable development objective of peace and security, with multilateral diplomacy, global governance, peace ocean, friendly cities, cross-cultural cooperation, deepen the friendship between China and Bolivia, between China and South American region, for the sake of human beings. 

The ambassador of Bolivia presented gifts to the Peace Garden: national artefact, wine and The Book of Ocean. The ruling party leader also gave Dr. Li Ruohong a national costume. Dr. Li Ruohong presented in return a fine piece of Mr. BaSha, a famous Chinese artist.
