2017 is the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Bolivia. The 1st March, Mr. Heriberto Quispe Charca, Ambassador of Bolivia and his delegation came to the Peace Garden, and held a friendly meeting with Dr. Li Ruohong, President of China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. 

The diplomats visited the international park and the Peace Museum, with an admiration for the outstanding achievements of Foundation. Afterwards, Dr. Li Ruohong held a profound discussion with Mr. Ambassador, in terms of the cooperation between China and South America countries, including agriculture, clean energy, sea water desalination, infrastructure, information, tourism, culture, media, etc. China World Peace Foundation, widely acknowledged by the international community, plays a significant role in Global Governance and resource allocation. 

Dr. Li Ruohong introduced the cooperative project with UNESCO: “Interactive Atlas of Cultural Interactions along the Silk Road” and its nine subjects, suggesting Mr. Ambassador to find opportunities and to implement more collaborations based on cultural features of Bolivia. That will, at the same time, help Chinese enterprises to go aboard so as to find more development space on the expansive land of South America.  Bolivia is a country who loves peace, said Mr. Ambassador. The 36 nations of Bolivia get tightly united under the peace spirit, respect each other and seek mutual development. Bolivia organized several forums concerning the protection of aboriginal culture, and also interested in the subjects included in the Project “Interactive Atlas”. Mr. Ambassador wished a long-term cooperation with the Foundation, and to construct a platform together to facilitate the communication of the two sides.  

Mr. Ambassador also suggested to hold an activity “Commemoration of the Sea” on 23rd March, and other projects in terms of music, national culture and intangible cultural heritage to deepen the friendship of two countries, recall the global preservation of peace and security, and realize the sustainable development goals of United Nations.
