On November 4th, Mr. Shantha,director of the Resource Mobilization Department of UNESCO and on behalf of Ms. Bokova the director general of UNESCO ,signed the "Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest" project cooperation agreement with Mr. Li Ruohong, the Chairman of China World Peace Foundation&Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation.Both Parties will initiate the “Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest” project on the basis of the 2014 strategic cooperation framework agreement between China World Peace Foundation&UNESCO, aiming at improving young people’s understanding of the importance of the common heritage of the modern Silk Road, expecting young people to participate in the dialogues along the historic Silk Road countries through the use of visual art as a communication tool.

Before the signing ceremony, Mr. Shantha conveyed the regards from the director general of the UNESCO Ms. Bokova to her old friend Chairman Li Ruohong.
