On Christmas Eve, directors of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation (BJPCF) and the delegation led by Mr. Yuji Miyamoto, Director General of Japan-China Friendship Association and vice-President of Japan-China Friendship Center, gathered at Peace Garden Museum, celebrating the upcoming new year with a friendly talk and a concert themed “Promoting World Peace with Traditional Culture”.
Both parties reflected upon the history, culture and traditional friendship of the two countries, discussed on the differences of the younger generation in both countries in terms of international exchanges and education, analyzed the impact of international finance on the economy in China, Japan, Europe and the US, explored future perspectives for SME cooperation. Both sides agreed that it would be a blessing for China and Japan and even other Asian countries to nurture a younger generation who “understand China, Japan and the history” as well as to carry out cultural exchanges and ecological cooperation.
Artists of both countries performed Peking Opera, story-telling opera, clapper talk, Henan Zhuizi (a kind of ballad sung to the accompaniment of a stringedinstrument called Zhuizixian) Shandong Drum,etc. In exchanging calligraphic works, the artists improvised poems for the occasion and presented them to the former Ambassador H.E.Mr. Yuji Miyamoto. In the end, Mr. Li, General Director of BJIPCF, exchanged new year greetings with Mr. Miyamoto and had a group photo with all the artists.
