The first friendly exchange activity of Chinese and Morocco teenagers kicked off ceremoniously in the Peace Garden on November 21, 2015.Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of China World Peace Foundation, Mr.Kong Xiangren, Secretary General of China World Peace Foundation, H.E.Jaafar Alj Hakin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to China and his wife, Mr.Nour Eddine Fassi, counselor of the Kingdom of Morocco to China and diplomats from foreign embassies in Beijing as well as celebrities from all walks of life attended the event.    

It is learned that this friendly exchange activity of Chinese and Morocco teenagers is hosted by China World Peace Foundation and co-hosted by China General Association of Commercial Newspaper and China-Morocco (Ibn Battuta) Friendship Association with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco to China. During the friendly exchange activity, the guests and teenagers visited the collections of the Peace Garden Museum, enjoyed Chinese calligraphy writing, tea art and Morocco food. The participants fully enjoyed the atmosphere of the cultural and educational exchanges of the two countries of China and Morocco through dialogue with the Ambassador, little journalist interview, video appreciation, Chinese and Morocco calligraphy show and so on.

This friendly exchange activity was kindly supported by such major media as CCTV French Channel, China Daily and Global Times. As the host of this event, Dr. Li Ruohong delivered a welcome speech. He said that more than 700 years ago, Mr. Ibn Battuta, the great traveller of Morocco travelled to China and his tale has become the legend of friendly exchanges between China and Morocco.

H.E.Jaafar Alj Hakin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to China expressed his gratitude to Dr. Li’s kind invitation and thoughtful arrangements for this event. He said in his speech that the friendship between Morocco and China is of long history. This friendly exchange activity between Morocco and Chinese teenagers can not only promote the healthy growth of the teenagers of the two countries and become envoy of friendship between the two countries, but can also better carry forward the friendship of the two countries, so as to shoulder the heavy responsibility of the longstanding  friendship between Morocco and China.
